From Legendary Lover: 6 Essential Steps to Having Great Sex:

“My orgasmic practice kept moving along nicely, and I actually started to experience new kinds of orgasm on a regular basis. The energetic orgasms became easier and easier to achieve and even though I was still not orgasming during sex, I had a rich orgasmic practice in my solo-explorations.

What was even more exciting was that orgasms started to surprise me in places and situations that I would not have considered orgasmic or even sexual before. I was learning what it meant to live an ecstatic life both in the bedroom and outside of it.

One morning, as usual, I unrolled my mat and began my day with a yoga practice. As I was moving through a series of asanas, I kept pondering the fact of energy flowing through our bodies. When this is happening with intensity, as in during a physical effort, we experience aliveness and vibrancy within ourselves. Unfortunately, this vibrancy can often go unnoticed if we do not pay enough attention to actually sense it, to feel what is happening. We hold too much tension, we are

too much in the head or we are simply not used to noticing sensations in our bodies.

I had previously worked with a client whom I guided into a full-body orgasm during our session. As he entered the experience, he suddenly opened his eyes and looked at me, pulling himself out of the orgasm. I gently guided him back into his body, but it became apparent to me that he was not actually ‘feeling’ the waves of ecstatic flow in his body. Instead he was stuck in his head questioning what was meant to happen and whether he was ‘doing it right’.

I relaxed into Savasana to complete my yoga practice and I joyously felt my body relaxing on the floor. It was simply divine to feel my energy flowing gently as my yoga practice was not too strenuous. So it definitely caught me by surprise when my body suddenly started to shake in ecstasy, shifting into a full-body orgasmic state. I kept breathing deeply to support the energetic flow, and remained very relaxed to allow the energy to do what it wanted to do.

It felt amazingly nurturing to start my day energized by my life force. We are so lucky to be able to access this deeply potent source of vitality, strength and bliss right here, inside of our bodies.

I do believe that it is our birthright to be orgasmic.

 

Your orgasmic potential

Once you commit yourself to the path of exploring your orgasmic potential, you come across many different types, intensities and structures of orgasm. At first you will most likely explore the gender-specific genital types – ejaculatory or anal orgasm for you and clitoral, G-spot, vaginal, cervical, anal orgasms for her. Your further tantric studies will no doubt take you to energetic and full-body orgasms. And you will think that you have conquered the world, but it is still just the beginning.

As you keep connecting deeper and deeper to your body, mind, heart and soul, you will start discovering the emotional body orgasms – cry-gasms, anger-gasms, laughter-gasms, etc. You will also discover that in fact your entire body is an erogenous zone and that you can experience orgasms in your chest, head, arms, fingers, belly, legs and so on – focused in that particular body part or in connection with the rest of the body.

And if you keep delving deeper into your soul and your spiritual side, you might discover that some orgasms feel like you are connecting with the whole Universe and that you are expanding well beyond the boundaries of your physical self.

 

Exercise:

The easiest way to start entering the orgasmic realm more often is to use movement. You can dance, shake, run, box or use any other exercise that will bring a lot of energy into your body. Give yourself ten minutes of physical effort, but really commit to it. Make sure that your heart rate increases and that you are breaking some sweat.

Once you are done, lie down on your back, relax and simply allow yourself to experience the energetic storm happening in your body. Allow the energy to move you and to move through you. Completely surrender to it. If you feel like your body wants to move in any way, allow it.

This is a very beautiful experience of surrender and of dissolving into bliss. It might take you a few tries to achieve a deep state of ecstatic pleasure. And if you are struggling, remember to keep letting go of any tension, to clear the mind and to keep breathing deeply into your belly. Any tension in the body or mind will affect the energy flow and will pull you out of the experience. So just relax, enjoy the moment, feel into your body and allow the energy to move through you.”
